Job Description
YOUR ROLE
The Payroll Officer will set-up and maintain employee records within the HR application and work collaboratively to process and disburse payroll payments including salary payments, superannuation payments and salary packaging payments. The Shared Services is focussed on accurate, timely and responsive provision of information and excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- End to end payroll processing in accordance to MACS policies and procedures
- On board new employees and enter variations to employment records
- Process termination requests and payments ensuring correct PAYG withholding on payments
- Process salary packaging arrangements and salary deductions
- Update Masterfile details with increment to next level and next increment date
ABOUT YOU
- You are a proven, successful Payroll Officer with demonstrated ability to perform an end to end payroll function and experience with a high attention to detail and accuracy, in calculating entitlements as provided within employment agreements and contracts
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality
- Substantial demonstrated experience working with a computerised payroll system
- Proven experience in working with, understanding of, and interpreting relevant Awards, Enterprise Agreements and statutory/legislative requirements
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the capability to communicate effectively with school Principals and Administrative Officers within MACS and external stakeholders
Salary for this position is $76,662 per annum pro rata exclusive of superannuation. This is a 1.0FTE fixed term contract approximately until November 2024
