About the role:

If there is one thing that defines OMD, it is the philosophy that nothing is more important than our people.

As the Account Director, you will be the ‘glue' that holds your team together. There is very little happening on your client's account that you aren't aware of, or involved in. You jump seamlessly from media planning and strategic involvement, to finance management, investment, and reporting quality control. You are the main day-to-day contact for the client. They trust your guidance and benefit from your strong organisational abilities.

As Account Director at OMD, you will -


* Work with the specialist service teams to ensure their product is integrated into the core OMD offering
* Provide executive oversight into the delivery of specialist services to the OMD client base
* Work alongside client teams to ensure that innovative use of technology and data is included within campaign planning and client output
* Deliver regular thought leadership to clients and agency on market changes and emerging topics, trends, and commentary
* Develop and maintain strong c-suite client relationships
* Work alongside the client teams to ensure the product output remains best in class
* Lead the product output within new business pitches
* Maximise team productivity by clear delegation to direct reports of all tasks


About you:·

Media is your passion and you love to teach and be taught. You possess communication and presentation skills that engage and inspire. You have strategic planning capabilities and a solid understanding of media fundamentals, as well as a deep understanding of the Australian Media landscape. Problem solving is your sixth sense and you're not afraid to challenge clients in order to deliver exceptional results. You're a leader, a collaborator and a team player who will ultimately lead your team to success.


* Ambitious, a team player, and who thrives in a high-performance environment
* Seeks broad experience and continued learning across all facets of media planning (traditional, digital, tech, analytics, strategy, comms planning, sponsorship)
* An experienced channel & imp planning expert (Application of strategy to execution); online and offline
* Has strong budget and financial management
* Has a desire and motivation to get under the hood of their client partners brands, macro business and marketing (Business performance, brand health, creative & media effectiveness)
* Experience using discovered insights to recommend communication initiatives
* A passion for understanding and delivering on client business goals
* The ability to build strong client relationships and trust quickly
* Experience in managing direct reports, with a focus on their development.
* A proactive thinker who is always exploring new ways of doing things whilst respecting proven processes
* Demonstrated experience leading a team at Account Director level
