Description:
We require up to 300 workers to assist with picking and packing truss grown tomatoes in Port Augusta.These Duties Will Include
Picking Tomatoes
Winding plants onto their strings
De-leafing, pruning, removing laterals
Packing shed productions line
Glasshouse cleaning and maintenance
Clipping
Dropping string lines
General Labouring
Position will commence Early August 2024 with various intake through until Mid May 2025, and last for up to 4 years.
Payment for these positions will be under the Horticulture Industry award 2020.
You will generally work 5 days per week from Monday to Friday, though this may change from time to time. You may also be rostered on to work Saturdays

Selection Criteria
Ability to pass a colour-blind test, as the position requires you to distinguish between red and green tomatoes
Ability to pass a Drug test before commencement of employment
Ability to acquire good speed at manual tasks
Ability to lift crates for long periods of time
Ability to do repetitive work, standing for long periods of time
Applicants from outside the Port Augusta area must demonstrate a commitment to moving and living in the area for the period of employment.
