As the Workforce Development Coordinator, you'll be instrumental in our clients' mission by actively engaging with businesses and employers, cultivating strong relationships, and forging partnerships to open doors for participants. Your main duty will involve establishing and nurturing connections with employers and career consultants across the region, fostering trust and cooperation to facilitate successful placements

Description
If you are someone who enjoys making a difference in people's lives, is an effective and confident communicator with a proactive approach, and someone who can go out to the market and connect with new potential businesses, then this is the position for you.
No two days will ever be the same. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Engage with employers and businesses to understand their needs and facilitate suitable placements.
- Build and maintain relationships with career consultants across 24 sites to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Provide post-placement care to clients, to ensure participant satisfaction and employer retention.
- Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify potential positions and suitable workplaces for participants
This is a permanent full-time opportunity, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with a monthly RDO. You have the option of working out of two sites, Maryborough or Gympie offices. Travel will be required for engagement purposes across the region such as Fraser Coast, Gladstone and Rockhampton.
Profile
To be considered for this position we are looking for the following;
- Proven experience working in a customer-focused position is essential
- Previous experience working with sales is highly desirable
- Solid IT skills, great attention to data, and administration skills are necessary
- Excellent communication and the ability to build rapport and stay resilient during challenging conversations are key
- Adaptable and proactive approach, comfortable with cold calling and engaging with clients on the ground
- Local market and community knowledge is highly advantageous
- Experience in Employment Services, Recruitment, Sales, and Marketing preferred
- Experience in dealing with hiring managers and recruitment processes is desirable
