Bingo's dedicated team of Fitters are responsible for maintaining the fixed plant machinery of our Eastern Creek Ecology Park.We are looking for Fixed Plant fitters to work either on Day, Afternoon or Night shift. The roles are open for expereinced/qualified fitters and also open to candidates who have any mechanical background who are interested in trying something different and learning new skills whilst working for a company that can offer you the growth you are looking for. The job:
• Undertaking scheduled preventative maintenance checks on plant equipment
• Daily pre and post start plant checks
• Rotating, adjusting, and replacing parts and equipment where required to ensure greater efficiency in the facility
• A strong focus on the facility's conveyor belts
• Responding to site breakdowns, identifying faults and complete repairs
• Diagnosing faults and performing operational maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment
• Studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable machinery settings, materials, and method of operation
• Cutting, threading, bending, and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes, lines, and tubes.
What you bring:
• Heavy Mechanical trade qualification (Plant or machinery)
• Experience in a heavy industrial environment highly desirable
• Flexibility to work weekends, overtime and different shifts where required
• Own tools and current drivers’ licence
• Ability to identify and resolve mechanical problems
• A strong, safety focused work ethic
