  • 1 x Permanent full-time (1.0FTE) appointment
  • 1 x 18 month full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment with possible further fixed term and/or permanent appointment.

South Regional TAFE (SRT) is dedicated to delivering a diverse range of nationally recognised programs throughout the Great Southern and South West regions of Western Australia. About the role
The Training Manager provides the leadership to ensure that South Regional TAFE's delivery of vocational education and training complies with Standards for RTOs. The position is also responsible for the effective management of the training area's human, physical and financial resources and the achievement of key business outcomes and quality performance indicators.

To be successful in the role, you will have the following:

  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading the development of a positive team culture to support organisational values and achieve strategic and operational goals
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience in the operational management of vocational education and training programs, including the application of training quality principles to achieve business growth and strong outcomes
  • High level management skills including staff supervision, budget management and client engagement
  • The ability to operate in a collaborative manner with diverse stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes and develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in driving change and process improvement including high level analytical and problem solving skills resulting in innovative outcomes

Other Conditions and Eligibility
Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).

This selection process may be used to identify suitable applicants for similar vacancies that arise within the next twelve months.

SR TAFE has a shutdown period of up to 12 working days over Christmas/New Year. Arrangements for paid leave in advance or leave without pay during the shutdown period will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
