This is an “Open-Ended” Recruitment Pool which will remain open for appointments until 2 June 2025.

The next round of assessments will commence on Monday 6 November 2023. Applications submitted after this date will be assessed in the following round of assessment.

The Recruitment Pool will be used to fill a number of Permanent and Fixed-Term, Full Time positions.

About the roles:

The Commission is seeking suitably experienced and dynamic individuals with the ability to think outside the box, can work collaboratively across the team and the Commission’s business and have a flexible approach in determining effective procurement outcomes for mental health and alcohol and other drug services and prevention programs.

This job advertisement is for Senior Procurement Officer (PSO Level 6) and Procurement Manager (PSO Level 7) positions. Please identify on your application which position you are applying for.

In undertaking the roles of these positions, the occupants will need to recognise that there is a commitment to focussing on the needs of the individual, their families, carers or advocates working in partnership for better alcohol and other drug outcomes and improved mental health.

Whilst new appointments may commence on a fixed term basis, there may be the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency in the future.

[PSO Level 6 Senior Procurement Officer]

The Senior Procurement Officer provides professional procurement advice to staff across the Commission and develops and/or manages significant and medium risk procurement processes for goods and services and community services.

[PSO Level 7 Procurement Manager]

The Procurement Manager provides strategic procurement and contract management advice and support to business areas across the Commission in relation to strategic commissioning, community services service agreements, commercial contracts, grants and risk. Facilitates high-risk and/or complex procurement processes in accordance with relevant legislation, Government procurement policies, Agency Directions, the Commission’s Agency Commissioning Plan and other internal policies.

The Recruitment Process

This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 2/6/2025.
