JOB DESCRIPTION

LOCATION – Sydney OR Melbourne.

About the Head of Network Optimisation Role:

As the Head of Network Optimisation , you will be responsible for identifying and delivering initiatives that significantly improves efficiencies across TGE’s vast multi-modal transport networks, in turn, supporting the NOC’s strategic plans.

A national role, you’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders, helping to influence them to better utilise and optimise their network and operational outputs. This collaboration should ultimately result in significant improvements for customer experiences, think ‘right freight/right network’.

This position is a key member of the Operations Integration Leadership Team. accountable for maximising the safety, efficiency, compliance, financial performance, and service delivery to customer requirements (DIFOT) of the TGE operational network.

What you’ll do (duties/responsibilities including/not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain network capability guidelines to support customer sales process
  • Develop a network optimisation roadmap that identifies efficiencies
  • Develop change management strategies, enabling the adoption of the process changes that will drive the efficiencies and service improvements
  • Representing operational integration, in collaboration with the consumer team, working to identify and resolve customer issues and operational processes
  • Drive a high performing culture across the operations integration team
  • Lead & manage (three people report into this role)

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Must have exceptional understanding/experience within transport, instigating change across multiple business units
  • 10+ years experience in an operational leadership role across large and complex supply chains and networks
  • Customer focused, changes and improvements should ultimately be seen through the lens of how they’ll further benefit our valued customers
  • Influence, you have a proven track record of influencing key stakeholders, helping them to achieve better outcomes
  • ‘Think outside the box’ mentality, you bring new ideas to the table, and you’re motivated to see your ideas through, helping to drive measurable outcomes within realistic timeframes
  • Solid understanding of financial and P&L reporting etc.
  • Strong leadership, managerial and delegation skills
