Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Database Administrator to join our Investment Database Unit team. The successful candidate will serve as a leader in managing a range of databases and compliance activities across the Income Support Branch.The role of the Senior Database Administrator is to guide, support, manage a range of financial databases that impact the ongoing pension payments made to clients. The Senior Database Administrator manages the ongoing database administration of the team and ensures it is kept informed, is meeting performance expectations and is supported from a HR and people management perspective.
They are responsible for overseeing all the activities of the team and developing strategies on how to meet performance targets. The Senior Database Administrators reports to an Assistant Director.
The Senior Database Administrator position is required to maintain a number of internal databases which hold financial data relating to Managed Investment (MI) and Share information that impacts client Income Support payments.
The key duties of the position include
- Weekly update of Managed Investments database (DHS data load)
- Fortnightly update of Shares database (DHS data load)
- Fortnightly Guide produced detailing events and changes
- Fortnightly Manual preparations, mail merge mailouts and processing for; Super indexation (except ComSuper), Income Stream indexation, Super unexemption
- Administer Services Schedule
- Provide advice on and/or process complex queries including deeming exemption, Super exemptions, SMSF, failed investments, share and managed investment restructures
- Management of annual purchased Income Stream exercise (including SMSF income streams) and answer financial industry queries and respond on potential Policy proposals
- Provide responses to ministerial and Secretary correspondence
- Manage formal complaints and provide responses to requests from the Feedback Management Team.
