The Company

Looking to maintain their continued growth and reputation within their “unique” support space, this local “Not for Profit” group are now looking to attract an experienced Accounts Receivable/Invoicing Officer to join their small and friendly Finance Team.

Situated in the inner suburbs of Newcastle, you won’t have trouble finding a park. You will also enjoy the supportive environment. When you walk in the office, everyone will say “good morning”. Finding someone to grab some lunch or coffee with will never be an issue. They are extremely friendly and social.


The Position

Working alongside the new Finance Manager, there is no question this role has plenty of diversity. You will be looking after both Accounts Receivable and Invoicing. The invoicing relates to the NDIS, so you must have some knowledge of their systems and how to claim. The accounts receivable side of the role is fairly generic but will need you to do some reconciling. As the team is small, don’t be surprised if you are asked to learn a few of the other important team functions, thus offering you some diversity and the group some flexibility when staff go on leave.

Note that this role is a Permanent Part Time appointment, with the ideal candidate needing to be able to work 4 days per week/30 hours per week. Some flexibility will be offered after the first six months of your employment.


About You & Experience

Being a team-based environment where everyone “chips in” for the common good, it will be imperative that you possess a warm, accommodating and friendly personality as this will assist you to assimilate into this close-knit team.

Working closely with most people within the business, you will need to be comfortable dealing with conflicting demands on your time while ensuring that all necessary deadlines are met. This will need you to possess a high level of patience and a degree of assertiveness. Solid verbal communication skills are a must.

As this role relates to the NDIS, you must have a working knowledge of all relevant systems.


Remuneration & How To Apply

With regards to remuneration, a competitive hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful candidate. As a guide, the hourly rate will range from $35.00 to $42.00 plus superannuation. Remember as a NFP you will be entitled to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefit.
