We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controls Engineer with demonstrated experience in a similar role to join our Engineering team on a full-time permanent basis. Based in Glen Waverley.
To be successful you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in designing electrical/control schematics from specifications compliant to AS/NZS 3000:2007 standards for manufacturing and site installation;
- Capable of reading, understanding and interpreting Controls schematics and associated documents including bill of materials and relevant drawings;
- Be responsible for translating written specifications into working LV electrical control designs;
- Demonstrated LV, MCC and PCC experience;
- Previous experience using E-CAD software, designing electrical control schematics;
- Experience trouble-shooting faulty and non-operational control systems.
Ideally you have experience programming and configuring intelligent electronic devices (IED) and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Essential Experience.
- A minimum of three years experience, interpreting and designing Electrical and Control schematics from specification.
- Hands on experience with E-CAD software.
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000:2007 standards.
- Some experience with Visual Basic.
- Knowhow with programming and configuring intelligent electronic devices (IED) and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
Preferred
- Diploma, Degree or other relevant qualification in Electrical. Instrumentation and/or Controls Engineering.
- Previous experience troubleshooting faulty and non-operational control systems.
- Conversational proficiency with English, both written and verbal.
