An excellent opportunity exists for a highly motivated and suitably qualified individual in the position of Senior Base Engineer for the New South Wales Ambulance Fixed Wing Contract based out of Sydney Airport.This position is Full time and reports to the Engineering Manager, or delegate.Position Responsibilities:Ensuring compliance with Engineering Procedures and Certification requirements in their particular area of responsibility and;Maintaining at their Maintenance Base the Engineering Infrastructure necessary to ensure that all KPI's are met (eg OTP etc.)Monitoring and controlling costs associated with aircraft and GSE maintenance.Description of Duties:Provide proactive leadership of the NSWA Engineering based staff;Ensure schedule based rostering to meet contract requirements;Review in advance the Planned Maintenance Activities to be performed;Co-ordination of manpower, equipment, tooling, data and Aeronautical Products to ensure the timely completion of all maintenance activities;Monitor and control of OTP, efficiency, costs and other KPI's at the NSWA Engineering base;Amendment of all Regulatory and Maintenance Data held at their Base;Ensure the serviceability of tooling and equipment and the management of a Preventative Maintenance/Service Program for Ground Support Equipment;Other duties as directed by the EM or delegateEssential Selection Criteria:Must be able to meet NSWA requirements (vaccination, working with children check)Proven self-starter with a flexible attitudeProven ability to manage a close knit teamA demonstrated willingness to accept responsibilityExperience in Airline OperationsDemonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in a high workload environmentWorking knowledge of regulatory requirementsConditions:Wage rates and conditions will be discussed with the successful applicant.To apply:Please apply via the 'Apply Now' button below.
