Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking an Evaluation Lead - Government to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.

About the role

As an Evaluation Lead, you will manage and deliver evaluations of strategic projects implemented by the Agency. Other functions will include helping to embed rigorous evaluation; supporting business units develop theory of change, logic models and evaluation frameworks; providing expert advice to business units undertaking evaluation; and supervising staff as required. In addition, your key duties are as follow:

  • Manage and deliver strategic evaluations
  • Lead the development of logic models and monitoring and evaluation frameworks
  • Supervise Senior Research and Evaluation Officer(s) and other staff to collect, analyse, and report quantitative and qualitative data
  • Enhance the use of evidence-informed practice in delivering outcomes for stakeholders
  • Shape and maintain the relationships and partnerships with external research bodies, including specialist agencies and relevant academic and technical experts, to ensure that the wider research community is effectively engaged to deliver benefits for the clients
  • Build the approach to innovation in delivering practice improvements and contemporary services and supports, to improve outcomes for clients
About you

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Post graduate research qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in evaluation of programs and services
  • Analysing and reporting on qualitative and quantitative data
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Stakeholder engagement and management experience
  • An interest and/or experience working within the disability sector

  • $602.55 per day + super
