To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist. This role is responsible for ensuring the regulatory compliance of all food products, including innovation projects, across Australia and New Zealand, adhering to local regulations, internal company policies, and guidelines. It will also lead the implementation process of regulatory developments and changes, minimizing financial impact by integrating plans with other commercial strategies. While also Collaborating cross functionally to support business for claims approval, compliance assessment for reformulations& innovations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with R&D team and be able to acquire required regulatory package (product composition, ingredient specification, labelling information. etc.) from the data system.
  • Assess and ensure compliance of finished products formula and raw materials spects with ANZ regulatory requirements.
  • Identify information gaps and work with cross-functional teams to obtain the necessary information to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements and final regulatory approval.
  • Provide all necessary support for any regulatory deficiencies may have
  • Develop Product Label Specification via PEP system and tools in accordance with local regulatory labelling requirement.
  • Review product label and provide regulatory approval.
  • Provide regulatory advice/consultant to support product / packaging claims with the substantiation
  • Provide regulatory approval of advertising materials including claims
  • Track regulatory developments, run impact assessments and implement new /revised regulatory guidelines and protocols.
  • Act as RA lead for CAST SAP (data digitization) and do RA work including formula compliance assessment and approval, create label set and approval.
  • Act as a part of project teams for food innovations

Qualifications

About you:

Essential:

  • Special Expertise and regulatory knowledge on the Food Regulation across Australia and New Zealand
  • Experience in regulatory compliance- RM and FG
  • Very well organized
  • Detail oriented and punctual
  • Flexible attitude to work, highly results orientated
  • Fluency in written and verbal English
  • Proactive, self-starter, Team player

Desirable:

  • University degree (Food Technology/Science, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, )
  • 3-5 years experience in Regulatory Affairs
  • Excellent communication skills (including ability to interpret complex subject matter and summarize requirements, communicate with people of all levels)
  • Ability to integrate into and influence different levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage regulatory issues and provide insight to the business
