This leading Not for Profit organisation that leads the way in their industry and offers a range of services across the East Coast of Australia is seeking a talented Payroll Officer to join their growing payroll team. This attractive 6-month fixed term contract role will play a key role in the ongoing success of this community-based organisation that is currently undergoing a transformation of its payroll department. The position will be based in their Brisbane inner city offices which is located close to various public transport connections. They also work in a hybrid environment where the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week is available.
Your new role
- Setting up new employees on the payroll system
- Prepare and process fortnightly payroll
- Processing leave entitlements
- Interpreting employment agreements
- Assisting with payroll reporting and payroll reconciliations
- Liaising with various internal stakeholders and employees regarding payroll queries
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous payroll experience within a medium to larger environment
- Previous experience with award interpretation
- Ability to work in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
