How will I help?

Your role as an Employee Engagement Specialist for Westpac is to proactively support our high-impact, transformational Employee Engagement projects across the Group. With the support of the wider team, you will develop and deliver key projects within the HR environment and across Westpac. You will have a strong social presence, and confidence to manage complex projects in cooperation with multiple stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities will include -
  • Development of Employee Engagement frameworks, approach, and capability.
  • Working with key stakeholder to refine question sets and design expectation employee experiences.
  • Partner with technology providers and other parts of the business to implement effective listening technologies.
  • Work with keys stakeholder to support the design, implementation, and delivery of action planning across the group.
  • Partner with different parts of the business to understand their strategy and how to align their organisational priorities.
  • Understand business objectives and drivers to assess engagement requirements.
  • Staying current on best practice employee engagement approaches and apply subject matter expertise to engagement and listening activities.
  • Leverage data analytics to deliver key Employee Engagement insights.

What do I need?

Degree in HR, business, or organisational psychology.

Ideally you would have 2-3 years' experience in Organisation Development gained within a large publicly listed organisation or in a consulting environment. Prior experience in Employee Engagement is highly desirable, with a proven track record of designing and implementing initiative.
  • Knowledge of organisation development methods, frameworks and best practice
  • Strong understand of employee engagement principle and practices.
  • The ability to take initiative and look for innovative solutions.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with and delivering insights from data.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across multiple levels
