A unique opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse/Midwife to join the team at a private hospital in Mackay where you will work across a range of areas including Birth Suites, Postnatal, Antenatal, and Special Care Nursery. Full-time position is available.ABOUT THE ROLE Whilst displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care;
- Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care;
- Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision;
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse and midwife;
- At least 3 years of experience full-time equivalent clinical experience working as a Registered Nurse/Midwife;
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty or working towards would be desirable;
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to role model;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels;
- Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and strong listening, negotiation, and decision-making skills;
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills;
- Commitment to ensuring the levels of service are always delivered to patients at all times.

$52.63 - $56.38 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging.
ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Mackay, is a modern facility with 105 beds, five operating theatres, a fully equipped day surgery unit, and a range of specialist clinical services, including a 27-bed maternity unit providing specialized care for antenatal, postnatal, neonatal, gynecological, pediatric, surgical, and medical cases.
