About Us...

As one of the fastest growing council areas in South Australia, the City of Playford is focused on building sustainable foundations and places the community at the heart of everything we do. With our urban centre as the CBD of Northern Adelaide, our city is enriched by growing and diverse communities in new and established suburbs, rural and hills townships and horticultural lands.

The work that we do and the decisions that we make are in the best interests of the whole and contribute to a sustainable organisational future. Modelling open decision making, we provide a supportive and collaborative environment where employees feel engaged and connected to the work of the organisation, to each other, and the community.

The Job: Marketing & Communications Partner

As a Marketing & Communications Partner, you will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and evaluating our communication campaigns and programs. You will also collaborate closely with internal departments, offering expert advice and planning to ensure alignment with business objectives and the overall achievement of Council’s strategic plans.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing creative content and communication to build awareness, trust and connection to our community.
  • Leading or supporting innovative marketing and communications team projects.
  • Enhancing the capacity of the organisation in communications and marketing through upskilling, training and development of tools and resources.

What you’ll bring to our team

  • Demonstrated experience in the field of marketing, communication, public relations, or journalism.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, giving you the ability to create engaging content for all different audiences, stakeholders, and channels.
  • Highly organised, analytical, and clear in your communication.
  • Proven expertise in managing stakeholder relationships, including the ability to adjust your communication style for different groups, building rapport and trust.
  • Effectively negotiate to support you in successfully achieving your goals.
  • Proven success in creating marketing, communications and creative digital content including video and graphic design.
  • Introduce innovative ideas to assist us in staying ahead of the curve, enhancing our processes, and boosting our efficiency.

What’s in it for you

We’re not your typical 9-to-5. Whether you’re an early riser or you need to drop the kids off, you can embrace true flexibility that works for you. Sometimes you’ll need to stay back in the evening or come in on the weekend because that’s what our community needs.

We care about what you achieve and want to get the best out of you. We embrace autonomy, diverse working styles and celebrate the uniqueness that every team member brings to the table. Meet your deadlines, exceed expectations, and enjoy the freedom to manage your workload in a way that works best for you.
