We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Taigum team as an Assistant Service Manager and Educational Leader. As an Assistant Service Manager and Educational Leader, you will provide support and assistance to the Service Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring excellent service delivery and will be responsible for leading the educational program within our OSHC service, ensuring high quality learning experiences for children in our care. The successful candidate will work closely with educators to develop and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that promote children's learning and wellbeing.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Service Manager will be responsible for assisting the Service Manager in managing and coordinating all aspects of service provision within our OSHC service. This includes building strong and respectful connections and delivering a fun and engaging program for school-age children, maintaining high-quality customer service standards, managing staff schedules, handling customer inquiries and complaints, as well as collaborating with various internal departments to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Service Manager in day-to-day operations including scheduling staff shifts, organising resources, and maintaining quality service standards.

2. Respond promptly to customer inquiries or complaints via phone calls or emails.

3. Lead the development and implementation of the educational program within OSHC services

4. Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to educators in implementing curriculum

5. Conduct regular observations of children's learning and provide feedback to educators

6. Collaborate with families, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support children's learning goals

7. Stay current on best practices in school age education

8. Ensure accurate recording of all transactions using relevant software systems.

9. Monitor inventory levels of supplies needed for efficient service delivery.

10. Support the implementation of policies and procedures set by management.

11. Train new employees on company policies and protocols.

12. Maintain a positive working relationship with staff members through effective communication channels.

13. Collaborate with a team of educators and contribute to and facilitate a high-quality learning experience while actively supervising children in a safe environment, that ensures their wellbeing at all times.

Qualifications:

- Current Blue Card

- Diploma of Early childhood Education and Care or School-Age Care or equivalent

- Previous experience in childcare or school setting preferred
