Due to growth within the organisation, this has created the requirement for a Finance Officer to join the team on a permanent full-time basis. You’ll be reporting to the Finance Manager. Your main areas of focus will include;- Preparation of all Debtor, Creditor, Receipts and Payment journals.
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensuring legal requirement compliance.
- Bank, Credit Card and General Ledger reconciliations, including but not limited to Assets, Liabilities, Petty Cash and Loan accounts.
- Preparation of month-end journals required to provide a true and fair view of the financial situation of client entities and investments.
- Preparation of Payroll cycles for entities as directed, including fortnightly and monthly payments to employees, deduction payments and statutory payments and reporting for PAYG, Child Support, PPL & Superannuation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll details of all client entity employees.
- Assist with the preparation of all financial statements prepared for client entities.
- Assist with the debt collection process on behalf of clients.
What you'll need to succeed
As the preferred candidate, you’ll possess strong experience within a similar account-related role. You’ll have high attention to detail, excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal), have a high level of self-motivation and ability to work independently. You’ll have a positive, friendly attitude with strong Microsoft Excel skills, and be adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Experience with accounting systems such as MYOB or XERO is highly desirable.What you'll get in return
