About the Opportunity

Based in Dalby , you will be responsible for the management and maintenance of Council's Parks and Recreation public places and spaces in the Dalby region within zones two (2) to ten (10).

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor - Parks and Recreation, you will:

  • Undertake programmed and reactive maintenance on built assets and infrastructure;
  • Undertake prescribed inspections to identify and report on faults and ensure maintenance and repairs are programmed and delivered;
  • Actively participate in planning and recommending possible ways in which tasks and responsibilities can be carried out more effectively and efficiently;
  • Uphold the public image of the Council and maintain satisfactory relations and goodwill with the community; and
  • Undertake general labouring duties as required.

About yourself

The successful applicant will have:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or demonstrated equivalent experience;
  • Open ‘C’ class drivers' licence (LR is desirable);
  • OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card; and
  • Relevant plant operator tickets are desirable.
