Description:
We are currently assisting our esteemed client in the search for a Junior Data Analyst to join a significant project initiative.
In this role, the Data Analyst will collaborate closely with the Delivery Lead within the Enterprise Asset Management Functional Services team, alongside Product Owners, Functional Specialists and Subject Matter Experts. Together, they will ensure the seamless execution of the design, development and testing phases across sprint cycles within the delivery team.
The selected candidate will receive valuable guidance and support from fellow Data Migration Specialists within the team.
Requirements
The Data Analyst will be required to:
- Work closely with a mixture of internal and external staff and ensure the effective alignment and work on assigned data migration activities and solutions to an agreed schedule;
- Develop, maintain and manage data related artefacts required for delivery across each phase of the program. This includes performing data assessment, data profiling and working on data quality to identify issues and working with stakeholder to get them cleansed;
- Work on the assigned data defects related to data migration activities, performing root cause analysis comparing source and target data, to reach an appropriate remediation or solution;
- Communicate formally and informally through existing forums to the data lead;
- Navigate and analyse data challenges related to the new SAP S/4HANA system; and
- Basic SQL skills, written queries to check, analyse data in a system.
Technical Requirements
Duties of the position will include but are not limited to:
- The development and management of data solution artefacts (e.g. Physical Data Model, Data Construct / Designs) and contribute to migration project plans and schedules;
- Provide comprehensive support data defects resulting from migration activities;
- Providing accurate and timely status reporting;
- Develop succinct issues / options papers to facilitate decision-making by steering and executive committees;
- Maintaining effective relationships with Data leads and data team members; and
- Effectively deliver data preparation and migration activities to a successful outcome.
Selection Criteria
Selection of the successful bid will be based on the following criteria:
Essential Criteria
- Proficient in Data Analysis Tools: Should have strong experience with tools such as MS SQL for at least 1-2 years;
- Ability to analyse datasets and turn them into actionable understanding;
- Understanding conversions, data cleansing, mapping, data reconciliation and data resolution activities;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at technical and non-technical levels; and
- Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines in a high pressure, fast paced, environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in any other data modelling or transformation tool is preferred;
- Experience working with data tool to perform data profile, data assessment, data quality etc.; and
- Worked on energy sector or any utility client focusing more on data analysis.
Duration
6-months contract.
Reporting Structure
The role will report to an ERP EAM Program Manager.
