As an Assistant Director in the First Nations Assessment Workforce section, you will share in the responsibility for establishing First Nations Aged Care Assessment organisations. The role is fast paced and will suit individuals with excellent engagement and stakeholder management, strategic policy expertise, confidence in collaboration with colleagues across different areas and experience in delivering First Nations initiatives with partners.Cultural capability: The ideal candidate will be committed to working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and will demonstrate cultural capability.

Your responsibilities include:
- Translating complex policy into communication materials and information for consumers, providers, the Aged Care sector and government to support awareness of and transition to the new arrangements.
- Developing stakeholder and engagement strategies working with First Nations organisations and community, gain insights and understanding to inform implementation.
- Working with various Branches across Aged Care and Health in the development and execution of policies, training material, communication strategies, including the creation and distribution of internal and external communications, website and social media, roadshows and engagement.
- Providing input into strategic oversight and briefings for establishing First Nations Aged Care Assessment organisations to support Ministers, the executive and Division.
- Updating Project Management documentation as required.
- Identifying engagement opportunities for First Nations organisations and community.
