Job Description

This position provides high level technical support for the Kings Park Science Program, with a focus on managing the research laboratory, glasshouses and scientific equipment at Kings Park and ensuring Work Health and Safety.

Selection Criteria

Applicants should address the following four (4) criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four (4) pages in total.

  1. Demonstrated experience in developing and applying methods for laboratory- and field-based research programs related to plant science, contributing towards research reports and papers.

  2. Demonstrated ability to train and supervise staff and postgraduate students in operation of laboratory equipment.

  3. Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to develop and manage technical components of research programs.

  4. Experience in the management of technical budgets and resources.
