About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Speech Pathologists. There is a permanent part-time position, and also casual position/s available.

There is a possibility to work across multiple sites (Ipswich Ramsay hospital) to increase hours.

Working within our Allied Health team as a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing effective Speech Pathology services across all ward areas of the hospital, including inpatient, day services, and potentially our outpatient clinic.

About You

To be successful you will have a strong commitment to client centred interventions and care. You will be able to independently and effectively cover a clinical caseload. You will demonstrate high levels of interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and adaptability within the work environment to allow strong performance both autonomously and within a multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate for the permanent part-time position would ideally be available the latter part of the week, but for the right candidate, days of the week could be flexible.

Successful candidates for the casual position/s would have some weekday availability for leave cover, and potentially be available to be rostered on-call on occasional weekends.

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Minimum two (2) years post graduate experience
  • Acute hospital experience highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in an acute health care setting desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to appropriately apply evidence based practice and knowledge to patient management
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Demonstrated initiative
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
