They have become a well-respected industry player and currently have a vacancy for an Accounts Payable Officer to join their Finance team.
What will my day to day look like?
- Manage the finance inboxes for variety of different entities.
- Data entry of invoices in Xero and Excel.
- Set up new creditors into Xero, check ABN and insurances, maintain details.
- Process supplier invoices for the group entities, including matching, batching, and coding for general ledger and cost centre allocation.
- Analyse reasonableness of payment and amount charged by suppliers by entity.
- Prepare and execute weekly payment runs and any other payments that may arise in the intervening period.
- Reconcile creditor statements - follow up on outstanding invoices, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Reconcile bank accounts daily for multiple accounts.
- Maintain credit accounts and new creditor applications.
- Process employee expenses.
- Reconcile credit cards.
- Prepare monthly expense reports.
- Provide assistance with month end processing.
- Assist with year-end closing activities.
- Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers and resolving queries
What skills and experience will I need?
- Minimum 2 years experience in Accounts Payable
- Reconciliations Experience
- High attention to detail is a must
- Strong Computer skills
- High level literacy, numeracy and accuracy
- Excellent Communication skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
