The role:

We are looking for a creative and motivated Motion Graphics Editor to produce world-class educational content for our curriculum libraries. Reporting into the Post-Production Manager, you will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality media using various editing, motion graphics and visual effects techniques.

Under the guidance from the script and direction of the Producer, the role will involve designing infographics, titles, lower thirds as well as colour grading and quality checking footage.

You will also focus on identifying trends in video/educational spheres and bring creativity and inspiration to the post production elements of the project and the production team overall.

As part of the application process, we ask that you submit a portfolio/ showreel of your motion graphics work.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Design and create high quality motion graphics to support learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with producers and other team members to develop ideas that align visuals with educational objectives and improve content understanding
  • Maintain organised projects, ensuring all media is organised and easily accessible for future projects to streamline production workflows
  • Provide creative input to optimise visual storytelling and engagement in educational videos
  • Take projects from edit to completion including colour grading, quality checking and mastering

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience working in motion graphics professionally
  • Superb motion graphics skills with in depth knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop
  • Experience in 3D software such as Element 3D and Cinema 4D is beneficial
  • A solid understanding of video formats and codecs
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills, being able to effectively communicate ideas and rationale through oral, written, and visual deliverables to the team
  • Have the ability to liaise with all levels of stakeholders from a variety of teams
  • Self-starter with ability to prioritise tasks to meet internal deadlines
  • Have an ability to see the big picture with a strong eye for detail, composition, colour and type
