Your Contribution - Building a Better Buloke: As the Team Leader Circular Economy, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Waste Services team, ensuring the efficient operations of Council's Landfills and Transfer Stations. Your dedication will contribute to maintaining compliance with state legislation and fostering a safe and sustainable environment for the community.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide effective management and leadership to the Waste Services team, offer mentoring and support, and fostering professional growth and development
Coordinate day-to-day operations of Council’s Landfills and Transfer Stations, ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant legislation and Codes of Practice under the EPA act
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Address customer requests promptly and efficiently, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
Monitor waste and recycling data, report on performance measures and standards in conjunction with agreed service arrangements, and identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with stakeholders to lobby for State funding for recycling initiative

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience and knowledge of waste management principles
Demonstrated experience in lobbying for State funding for recycling initiatives
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Construction induction card
