Job Description

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Early Childhood services as well as providing efficient, professional and customer service-based reception coverage. As the first point of contact, the administration officer will ensure a welcoming and friendly atmosphere creating a positive first impression for the organisation.

Duties

  • Responsible for coordinating the day-today operations of the CFC reception area.
  • Provide administration support to the Deadly Kindy’s, Child and Family Centre and visiting services.
  • Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.
  • Commit to ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of the service provision.
  • Demonstrated Competence in the use of software systems and other technology, the internet and desktop applications e.g. outlook, LogiQC, word, spreadsheets.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Business/Administration related field.
  • Minimum one (1) years’ experience in similar Receptionist/Administration related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
  • Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills.
  • A demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders societies and culture supported by an understanding of issues impacting upon health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, good keyboard skills, ability to maintain integrity with confidential and/or sensitive material.
  • Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Experience working within and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Organisation.
  • Experience working w ith young children and families.
