Currently we are seeking Senior Medical Practitioners in Psychiatry for various Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments.

Joining our team will give you a chance to work with clients to:

  • help shape preventative and restorative therapy and recovery programs for women with a range of mental health concerns, including eating disorders; and
  • work with client who need support as they recover from addiction withdrawal including alcohol and other drugs, gambling and gaming.

About the role
You will be responsible for the mental health assessment, treatment and management of clients with mental health illness, as well as for the provision of service to their families and carers, promoting patient safety and quality of care. You will work as a clinician within a multidisciplinary team environment and work closely with other agencies to promote close community partnerships. Please note that whilst this process will initially be used to fill a range of positions at Cockburn Health, it may also be used to fill a number of a positions available at other locations across the South Metropolitan Health Service.

We welcome applicants with extensive experience in general adult psychiatry, youth psychiatry, addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry.

The successful applicant with work alongside specialist consultants and junior medical staff.
