Description:
Snooze Management, based in Canterbury is currently seeking a detail-focused, self-motivated Infrastructure Support Officer to provide support to the Snooze technology team regarding cybersecurity, server, computer and networking management.
Working with the IT Support Manager and Infrastructure Specialist , this role will ensure that all complex incidents and problems are managed in accordance with agreed service levels.
The successful candidate will provide support in a technology environment with a range of applications, software and hardware such as the Microsoft Office suite (M365), Windows and Macintosh Desktops, Servers, backup tools and virtual infrastructure.
Customer Service
- Serve as a technical escalation point for technology related issues and/or requests, supporting the technology team as required.
- Demonstrate a customer focus in all behaviours which may include handling challenging and complex customer service enquiries.
- Create value for callers by providing an awesome customer experience - Snooze’s mission.
- Determine the best solution based on the complex issue and details provided by the customer.
Computer, Networking and Server Management
- Work with internal and external resources to effectively manage all computers, servers and networks within Snooze’s IT environment.
- Assist in the management of patches for applications installed in the Snooze’s IT environment.
- Ensure infrastructure, applications and data security/privacy controls are maintained in compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.
- Maintenance of documentation for Snooze’s IT environment.
Technical
- Provide technical support and advice to other members of the technology team.
- Ensure that all systems are available during business hours or otherwise agreed timeframes.
- Contribute to change management for all systems within the technology environment.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to efficiently deal with security matters and to identify and recommend improvements that can be made to technologies and processes.
- Assist with overseeing our security awareness education program and communicate our security policies and requirements so that our team know, understand and can follow them.
General
- Provide assistance on other ad hoc duties as and when required.
- After hours support escalation support as required.
- Travel as required.
The successful candidate has:
- Proven experience operating in a level 3 capacity.
- Technical understanding of networking concepts, ideally with exposure to Cisco and Meraki technology.
- Proven experience with multiple server infrastructures including, VMWare, AWS EC2 & EBS, Azure networking and compute.
- Proven experience around Windows infrastructure, Exchange Online and Office 365.
- Technical competence and working knowledge in a complex environment.
- Formal education in IT, Computer Science or another relevant field.
- Cyber Security knowledge or experience advantageous.
- Networking / Server qualifications- advantageous.
- ITIL foundation certification - advantageous.
