Description:

As a Director, you are responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of initiatives, programs and operational policies to support housing and homelessness services outcomes.

Specific responsibilities will include –

  • Provide expert advice and leadership in the design and delivery of programs and services
  • Lead and manage the activities of work teams to deliver housing and homelessness programs
  • Strategic management of resources to ensure successful delivery of programs and achievement of performance targets
  • Create innovative program and service solutions to address the complex landscape of housing and homelessness
  • Lead the coordination and management of a suite of new and ongoing housing and homelessness programs
  • Lead collaboration with other teams within Housing and Homelessness Services and across the Department to maximise impact for housing and homelessness programs
  • Develop and maintain high level relationships with State and federal agencies, industry providers and the community to provide targeted housing and homelessness services for Queensland
  • Effectively monitor and review national and international trends and issues in the housing and homelessness landscape to inform policy and program development in Queensland
  • Provide leadership, build resilience and work collaboratively across multi-functional teams whilst managing uncertainty and change in a fast paced environment

You must be an active leader and effective manager with relevant experience in similar complex environments. You will have a demonstrated track record of developing highly effective, collaborative and outcome focussed relationships at an executive, management level as well as with a variety of stakeholders. You will possess excellent strategic implementation skills, as well as capability to deliver outcomes at an operational and tactical level across the organisation.

You must be experienced in building and driving a multi-disciplinary team to deliver on short, medium and long-term targets whilst further enhancing the teams capabilities in a partnership-based service model. You will be experienced in developing a proactive partnership model for the business. Experience and expertise in team performance, strategic planning, and policy development for the effective development and management of people will be critical for this role.
