Registered Nurse - Neonatal Unit

Queensland Government
Gold Coast Full-day Full-time

Description:

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.
The Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) Neonatal Service has successfully transitioned to a CSCF Level 5 service to deliver care for infants who are greater than or equal to 29 weeks gestational age with estimated birth weights of more than 1000 grams and provide clinical support to maternity services across the SCHHS and can extend beyond the catchment area.
The Neonatal Unit's healthcare team delivers acute inpatient neonatal care to infants and their families within a family-centered and developmentally supportive care model. This approach hinges on tight-knit collaboration between staff and parents, bolstered by the Unit's architectural layout designed to enable personalised care and foster parent involvement.
This service receives backing from Level 6 tertiary facilities through telehealth services. Additionally, SCUH readily accepts back transfers of SCHHS infants who have previously received care from higher-level services.
