About I Am Mindful Since 2020, I Am Mindful has been transforming the way mental health education is taught across Australia. We work with companies, hospitals and primary and secondary school students, educators, parents and community groups to facilitate interactive, informative and inclusive workshops around mental health coping skills from psychology's best therapies. With the support of our key partners The Melbourne Clinic Psychiatric Hospital (Healthscope) and The University of Melbourne, our mission is to help young people and their support system to learn to manage big feelings and tough thoughts in a healthy and skilful way.
Our evidence-based workshops have been tried and tested across all relevant age groups and are based around the contents of our evidence-based mental health first aid toolkit, the I Am Mindful Box.

I Am Mindful is seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. With our mission to promote mental well-being and offer innovative solutions across Australia and the world, we are looking for a talented individual who shares our passion for improving the lives of others. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our company's growth and expanding our reach.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and developing strategic partnerships. You will also be tasked with conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, and creating business development strategies to drive revenue growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual who wants to make a significant impact in the mental health industry. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a proven track record in business development, and a deep understanding of the mental health care and and in particular schools landscape.
Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for I Am Mindful
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and relevant industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing and sales strategies that align with business objectives
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitive threats, and potential growth opportunities
- Develop and implement business development plans and strategies to drive revenue growth
- Monitor industry trends and changes, and make recommendations to optimize business development efforts
- Coordinate and participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's brand and services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
- Proven track record in business development, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of the mental health care industry within primary and secondary schools
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a strategic mindset
- Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
