The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Procurement team in our BlueScope Building Components business as a Purchasing Officer at our Archerfield branch. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

You will play an integral role in co-ordinating and supporting purchasing and inventory management activities to support both your colleagues and our valued customers. You will establish and maintain mutually successful relationships with internal teams and vendors, supporting the business to maintain a cost competitive position. You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your agility and superior customer service skills and collaborate across functions.

What Will You Do?

Being In a Dynamic Environment, Your Motivation And Ability To Think On Your Feet Will Ensure We Deliver a Valued Service For Our Customers. You Will

  • maintain the procurement system to ensure that system pricing, supplier lead time and other database records are accurate
  • management and transaction of all purchasing related requirements, place orders as required, and handle invoice issues/queries as they arise
  • monitor the quality of supplier service through vendor ratings and accounts payable
  • resolve issues efficiently and effectively to ensure a positive customer experience
  • ensure all code of conduct and trade practices requirements are observed
