About the Opportunity
We are seeking an autonomous, confident, enthusiastic and driven Sales Representative to join our team in Melbourne. Most importantly in this role, you will be a true brand ambassador for everything we do and offer. You will advocate for, educate, promote, sell and respect the work we do at The Precinct. You will be the face of our business and events.
- With a skew towards locating and closing on new business, you will be reaching out to individuals, businesses and corporates to sell tickets and packages to our unforgettable experiences.
- Relationship management is paramount to The Precinct. You will build and foster effective, rewarding and meaningful relationships with current and future clients.
- Build a pipeline and database of business for The Precinct using your sales and relationship skills. Reach out to our target market, educate them on the Precinct and capture their key information.
- Work on engaging with, validating and maintaining any leads in the pipeline.
- Provide client and market insights back to the General Manager to help build our understanding of what people expect and want from our events and business.
- Ideate in partnership with the team to continue building and growing The Precinct business and its reputation in the market.
About You

- There is significant domestic travel requirements in this role. Please only apply if you are able to travel.
- Proven track record of related experience in a BDM, Account Management or Sales Representative position.
- Ideally, experience within the sports or hospitality industry would be ideal however it is not essential.
- Your biggest strength is your ability to flex and change your communication style (written and verbal) to match the client you are interacting with. Your interpersonal savviness and ability to relate to a wide range of corporate and individual clients will be key to your success.
- You are curious, inquisitive, an idea generator and are comfortable building leads from scratch through outbound sales activities.
- Ideally, you already have a network of contacts that you can reach out to and start building creditability with and on behalf of The Precinct.
