Leading Hand Workshop

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Temporary Full Time - up to 4 years

THE POSITION:
Assist in the maintenance and repair of Council's fleet and plant including, large pant, small plant, heavy and light motor vehicles and equipment as directed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under direction,

  • Perform general mechanical maintenance, servicing and repairs to plant, motor vehicles and equipment in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specified service regimes.
  • Assist in the operation of a computerised fleet management system to manage Workshop maintenance and servicing activities.
  • Ensure AlburyCity plant complies with all WHS regulations, legislation and associated requirements.
  • Under direction, conduct roadworthy and safety inspections on plant, trucks and motor vehicles.
  • Assist with all workshop related projects as directed by Supervisor.
  • Assist in providing breakdown repairs to all plant, trucks, motor vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
  • Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
  • Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day to day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity's Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity's Code of Conduct.
