$56,634 to $62,297 pa + 11% employer contribution to superannuation
Plus 5% Trade allowance in addition to your Annual Salary

THE POSITION:
To provide routine and preventative maintenance including grounds maintenance at all AlburyCity's water, wastewater and flood pumping stations and grounds throughout the city. This position will also be responsible for undertaking readings of the 'bulk' meters at all the water and wastewater infrastructures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean and maintain water, wastewater and flood pumping stations.
  • To work in confined spaces as directed in accordance with level of competency.
  • Perform pump station and reservoir ground maintenance.
  • Meter reading and maintenance
  • Take delivery of bulk chemical and maintenance of city-wide odor control system.
  • Maintain plant in a clean and serviceable condition.
  • Ensure all routine plant maintenance and weekly service reports are completed.
  • Drive and operate plant in accordance with best practice.
  • Provide advice to the public in a polite and effective manner when required to do so.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor, which are within the limits of the employee’s skill, competence and training.
  • Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
  • Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day-to-day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, AlburyCity’s Dress Code and Standards Policy and AlburyCity’s Code of Conduct.
