Your New Role:

You'll be the SME internally for optimising SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO). This involves the management and execution of IT projects while fortifying and optimizing existing business processes. You'll act as a critical liaison between technology and internal business units. The role will be a combination of second level support and project deliverables. You'll refine processing efficiency by enhancing existing platforms, particularly in the realm of SAP the Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) area. This encompasses pivotal support in streamlining core business finance functions i.e. covering the SAP modules of FI (GL, AP, AR, and AM) and CO (CCA, PCA, PA, internal orders, and product costing).

You'll:

  • Deliver tailor-made SAP solutions aligning business needs and objectives. This encompasses configuration, development, testing, and meticulous review of all software and configuration alterations for seamless integration via the SAP platform;
  • Offer guidance and deploy solutions catering to finance and controlling area, leveraging SAP best practices and a profound comprehension of business processes. Implementation involves design, configuration and adept project management;
  • Drive effective introduction and management of business changes crucial for successful IT solution implementation;
  • Ensure outsourced services align with agreed service quality and contract conditions, overseeing service-related delivery;
  • Offer consultative services to business process owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), managing project budgets, driving business case development, and identifying strategic projects;
  • Safeguard systems integrity through controlled and reviewed introduction of changes into the environment;
  • Train key users in the service business on implemented solutions;
  • Keep management abreast of global SAP best practices by engaging with external SAP users through participation in Special Interest Groups (SIG) and SAP User Groups (SAUG); and
  • Pursue continuous learning and development in other functional areas and applications (e.g., S/4 HANA) in alignment with our digital transformation journey.

Your background and professional experience:

You'll ideally have:

  • Minimum of three years' experience in a similar SAP Consultant role with strong experience with FICO modules;
  • You will have proven experience in business process capture and documentation, along with extensive skills in running effective workshops to gather high quality requirements and writing functional specifications;
  • Experience co-ordinating and delivering SAP training will be looked upon favourably;
  • Experience with a S4 Hana implementations and SAP Fiori Development and Configuration is essential;
  • Experience with rebates and the PA (Profitability Module) highly advantageous;
  • You will have strong analytical skills and have a proven ability to make independent decisions and develop creative solutions to support business strategies; and
  • Above all else, you will have a humble, kind, friendly and trustworthy personality, with excellent listening skills. You will have the ability to see outside the box and be proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic and technically competent.
