Description:

Spectrum is a critical enabler of our everyday lives-mobile phones, wi-fi modems, Defence satellite systems, CB radios in trucks and new wireless technologies all rely on access to spectrum.
As a member of the Economics Advisory Section, you will help to ensure that economic, quantitative, market and regulatory considerations are factored into the ACMA's decisions, including to deliver the ACMA's high-value spectrum allocations and have opportunities to administer and reform our spectrum pricing arrangements.
You'll work with an experienced economics and policy team, collaborate with economic, policy, technical and legal experts and liaise and engage with various government departments and spectrum users.
You will undertake research and complex analysis, prepare high-quality research, quantitative analysis and written work (briefings, reports, consultation, and board-level decision papers), and be involved in bringing an economic lens to resource allocation and regulatory matters.
