About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Officer to join our dynamic growing team.
If you have experience in a high demand and fast paced operational or customer service environment, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for a high level of service delivery and continuous improvement practices, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely dispatch and monitoring of scheduled flights.
Reporting to the Operations Centre Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the Operations Centre and the Company’s flight operations.
The role is available on a fixed term, full time contract with a Monday to Friday OR 7 days on 7 days off roster available. Please advise of your roster preference in your application.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Coordination of all scheduled and unscheduled flights.
- Assess crew and aircraft availability, environmental and operational limitations.
- Assist in confirmation and conveyance of passenger manifests to flight crews and ensure proper documentation of passengers, baggage, cargo, and freight.
- Maintain continuous flight following of helicopter flights.
- Identify departure and arrival times and maintain effective communications with the operational crew and offshore facilities.
- Prepare the flight manifest and ensure the pilots are provided a copy.
- Report flight delays or helicopter unserviceability that affect the ability to provide the contracted service to the appropriate personnel.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience working in a high demand operational or customer service environment within an Aviation, Emergency Service, Defence, or Oil and Gas industry (or similar).
- Exceptional computer skills and ability to operate multiple computer applications efficiently with accuracy.
- Proven experience in multitasking and the ability to make optimal decisions in a timely manner.
- Experience utilising VHF/HF Radio and strong understanding and use of the phonetic alphabet.
- Able to function in a high-demand environment.

- Able to cover 7 days on 7 days off roster if required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outstanding organisational skills.
