Position Overview: They are currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer with specialized experience in civil engineering, particularly in projects involving the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of road and bridge projects, demonstrating technical proficiency and strong on-site management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to facilitate efficient project delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to verify compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the resolution of technical issues and implementation of engineering solutions on site.
- Liaise with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) representatives to ensure project compliance and regulatory approvals.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including progress reports, work schedules, and as-built drawings.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and address any potential risks or challenges impacting project delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering projects, with a focus on roads and bridges.
- Familiarity with Department of Transport and Main Roads (DTMR) standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and site management principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time, both within Brisbane and away on project sites.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
