Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced (Senior) Contracts Administrator to join our dynamic team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and supporting project delivery to drive the success of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the administration of contracts throughout the project lifecycle, from procurement to final closeout.
- Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, and legal counsel to ensure contract compliance and mitigate risks.
- Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation, including change orders, variations, and claims.
- Monitor contract performance, including budget and schedule adherence, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve contract disputes and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior contracts administrators as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in contracts administration within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to commercial and residential projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, including standard forms (e.g., AS, GC21) and relevant legislation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
