Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter

We are currently seeking Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter to join our in Newman Depot

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor you will diagnose, service and repair a wide range of Light Vehicles, Buses, Cranes, and large Trucks you will also be required maintain a safe working environment.

You must have the following to be successful:

• Service, diagnose, repair and maintain light vehicles, trucks, buses, prime movers and cranes
• Disassemble, inspect and rebuild mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components as required
• Trouble shooting and repairs on all types of equipment
• Ensure accurate service reports and timely ordering of parts
• Experience with diagnostics and fault finding
• Maintain a high level of quality work

Physical Requirements:

• You need to be physically fit and be able to perform a wide range of motions.
• You need to be able to pass regular drug and alcohol testing and a pre-employment medical.

To be successful the following is required:

• Trade qualified or equivalent
• B2 English level or above required
• Previous experience in a similar role for at least 3 years
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Current Drivers License HC /MC (preferred)
• Ability to work in a team environment and positive work ethic
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

Employment Details:

• Hourly Rate: $40 – $45 per hour based on a 38-hour week
• Employment Basis: Full-time employment
