Description:

Bis are now seeking applications for a highly driven and motivated Inventory Controller to join our team based out of our Tomago Office.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory Controller is responsible for the physical integrity of Bis Underground warehousing and distribution of mining equipment parts across all sites encompassing systems, quality, accuracy, and stock preservation, achieved through systems advancement and compliance.

This position is required to complete some travel as part of the role, ensuring physical inventory integrity is achieved through conducting routine customer site and Bis longwall container stocktakes, along with the coordination and reconciliation of Bis warehouse cycle counts and periodic stocktakes.

You will also be required to ensure that all warehouse systems and safety efficiencies are achieved through technology and process enhancement.

Requirements of the Role :

  • Coordinate national cycle count register process and compliance
  • Maintain inventory compliance
  • Ensure physical inventory integrity
  • Ensure all UCS warehousing practices are aligned and in compliance
  • Perform routine off-site container stocktakes, reconciliation and replenishment
  • Routine documentation control audits to ensure standards are maintained
  • Coordinate internal warehouse stocktakes as required
  • Liaising with a variety of suppliers across different industries
  • Communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

To succeed in this role, you must :

  • Previous experience in the same or similar role
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of inventory control and risk
  • Previous experience with CMMS (Computerised maintenance management systems)
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads
  • Intermediate / Advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Experience using JDEdwards, invoicing, and purchasing experience (highly desirable)
  • Underground mining machinery knowledge (advantage)

Who is Bis?

Bis own the largest fleet of Underground Hire Equipment in the Coal Mining Industry. We provide casual and long-term hire of run of mine equipment including Load Haul Dump (LHD) Machines, Graders, and Personnel Transporters.

Bis also provide casual and long-term hire of Longwall Move Equipment including Mules, Heavy Lift Load Haul Dump Machines, Pan Pickers and Dozers, ensuring greater security and flexibility while preserving valuable capital for our clients.

Our Diesel and Electrical Services Division offer complete equipment overhauls, scheduled servicing and machine repairs using the workshop base, and field service crews equipped to operate autonomously at the site of the customer.
