Your new role :

The Support Consultant position involves firsthand interaction with customers to resolve technical support tickets raised through our geospatial help desk.

Your key responsibilities will include :

  • Act as a direct customer liaison
  • Manage and resolve first and second level software support requests.
  • Respond to customer phone calls and e-mails through our Helpdesk system and liaise with internal staff to triage and resolve technical support issues (remedial or add, move and change)
  • Perform troubleshooting and technical analysis of software issues related to but not limited to VertiGIS Geocortex and Esri ArcGIS; and
  • Provide regular reporting on support KPIs.

What we’re looking for :

To be successful in this role you will already have prior experience in a similar environment together with experience in geospatial software or technical support along with :

  • Strong customer service background, taking pride in your work and striving to achieve a high level of customer service.
  • A variety of technical computing skills and abilities to diagnose issues on Windows and PC environments.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and able to work individually on appropriate tasks.
  • Excellent English communications skills, verbal and written with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Technical troubleshooting experience in a Microsoft environment; and
  • Networking knowledge with an understanding of internet communication protocols (HTTP / HTTPS) and Web applications an advantage.

Minimum qualifications and experience :

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in IT, computer science, software engineering or geomatics
  • One to two years’ experience in a similar role
  • National police clearance
  • Must hold permanent and full working rights in Australia.
