THE OPPORTUNITY :

Reporting into the NPI Superintendent, the Non Processing Infrastructure (NPI) Supervisor - Electrical is to ensure that all scheduled / non-scheduled electrical works associated with dewatering pumps / bores, Wastewater Treatment RO and Non-Processing infrastructure i.

e. camp accommodation, site offices and utilities are carried out efficiently and maintained to a high standard.

This is a permanent full-time position which operates on a FIFO 8 / 6 roster from Perth or DIDO from Port Hedland.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Co-ordinate all electrical, refrigeration, bore field and infrastructure maintenance, servicing, and repair activity to ensure operational continuity.
  • Implement effective preventative maintenance programmes and work allocation process via Pronto.
  • Ensure the Wastewater Treatment Plant, RO Plants meet operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and maintain bores, telemetry, and other associated infrastructure to ensure 100% water supply to the Processing Operations and Carlindi Village
  • Supervise and coordinate electrical and maintenance project work including managing contractors required onsite to assist with any works.
  • Ensure that all electrical work complies with statutory requirements and standards including completion of the Site Electrical logbook as required.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor Contractor Management requirements for all related 3rd party contractor works.
  • Maintain operational and capex cost control as per the relevant budget whilst ensuring compliance to purchasing policies.
  • Provide persons under your control adequate information, instruction, and training to perform their work in a safe manner.
  • Ensure work areas under your control undergo daily documented safety inspections and where hazards are identified ensure they are appropriately managed.
  • Ensure risk management practices are effectively and consistently applied for all work activities.
  • Ensure your own safety and health at work and that of your work mates and in respect to safety always follow instructions given by your employer.
  • Become familiar with and comply to safety policies and procedures.
  • Report all hazards and incidents on occurrence and never walk past an unsafe act or condition.
  • Participate with your work teams to improve and sustain a positive safety culture across the organisation.

There may be a requirement to assist during the construction and commissioning phase of the Pilgangoora project these requirements will be identified in separate pre-operational phase position description.

ABOUT YOU :

  • WA C class drivers’ licence.
  • WA A’ Grade Electrical license
  • Electrical nominees
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in supervisory role.
  • Previous Wastewater & Reverse Osmosis experience in a Mining environment.
  • Previous experience in maintaining water services & supply.
  • Previous experience in maintaining Non-Processing Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to the processes.
  • Systematic planning skills.
  • Previous experience managing budgets.
  • Ability to input and review operational data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Previous experience with Permit to Work systems.
  • Medium to high proficiency in the use of MS Office applications specifically MS Excel & MS Word

Desirable - Skills & Experiences

  • Trade Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Discipline
  • Current proficiency in Providing First Aid.
  • PRONTO experience.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
  • Previous experience as an appointed Section 44 supervisor.
  • Sound financial acumen.
