About the opportunity

There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.

We are seeking a qualified Project Manager with experience in leading and managing complex projects and project teams to develop and deliver a portfolio of strategic land and water projects to support government and departmental objectives. In this position you will manage specified complex projects and lead development of new land and water projects where opportunities are identified that support regional development and investment in Western Australia. You will also provide; advocacy, facilitation and policy input required to drive successful regional business development outcomes.

Extensive knowledge of, and experience in, projects related to land and water development including water and land policy and regulation, environmental approvals (State and Federal), land use planning, stakeholder engagement and management, cross-agency and industry collaboration, native title and heritage, ministerial and government briefings and business case development in an intensive agricultural or horticultural environment would be a distinct advantage.

Established local networks in the South West Region natural resources and water sectors; demonstrated knowledge and experience in economic assessment and review of projects deriving public benefits; and demonstrated experience in managing governance for industry-led strategic regional investments would also be advantageous.
