Role and responsibilities
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Company Secretary to join Acclime’s Listed Services Company Secretarial team and support our ASX-listed, unlisted public, private, and not-for-profit clients. The role will start as soon as possible and will suit a candidate with solid company secretarial and corporate governance experience.
This is a varied role encompassing:
• The delivery of company secretarial support to clients that meet or exceed agreed service standards.
• Board and committee meeting preparation.
• Attendance at meetings and drafting of best-practice minutes.
• ASX & ASIC / ACNC compliance.
• Managing subsidiary company compliance and statutory registers.
• The provision of regulatory, policy and compliance advice to clients.
Experience and skills
Ideally, you will have:
• A law/business/finance degree and be studying or have completed your Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance.
• At least 2 years of practical experience with ASIC compliance and general corporate secretarial duties.
• Excellent knowledge of the Corporations Act, ASIC and internal company requirements.
• Outstanding meeting management skills, including effective minute-taking.
• Exceptional customer service and proactive relationship management skills.
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and can manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with attending and minuting board meetings.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• Excellent customer/client service skills, preferably with experience working in a client facing role.
