Join our dynamic team at Queensland Police Service!We're seeking a skilled IT professional to analyse, design, and implement cuttingedge technology solutions for our Digital Intelligence and Community Engagement team. As a key player, you'll coordinate technical designs for ICT systems, solve complex technical issues, and ensure the continuous functionality of our IT set-up. You will contribute to the team by researching new software products and undertaking process automation using Power Automate.

The Core Capability Requirements For This Role Are
- Provide quality computer support for all computer and data communication operations including support for the installation of new and enhanced computer systems, computer usage and exploitation, and maintenance of hardware and software components.
- Work collaboratively with others and assist in the provision of information technology support to State Intelligence officers during major events and incidents.
- Manage and administer fileservers and other associated State Intelligence Group information and communications (ICT) functions in collaboration with other Information Technology services.
- Use Active Directory tools and monitoring tools to provide access controls and enable remote monitoring of computers and file services.
- Disseminate information to end users and facilitate high level computer awareness and development of staff within the State Intelligence Group.
- Regularly monitor and review computer system effectiveness within the State Intelligence Group and recommend improvements in information technology related strategies.
- Maintain a high level of integrity at all times and actively contribute towards the physical security of premises, sensitive data and equipment and operational methodologies.
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:
- Demonstrated experience and competency in a range of technical disciplines as specified below would be considered an advantage for this position:
- Highly Desirable - Recognised qualifications in information technology.
- Desirable - Recognised qualifications in cyber security and/or related discipline will be desirable.
- The successful applicant/s will be required to perform duty within any CIC Group/Unit within the Brisbane Metropolitan area.
- The successful applicant/s will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment.
- Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.
- Applicants may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the minimal level of Negative Vetting Level 1.
- Shift work may occasionally be a requirement of the role.
